In one of the battles, the brothers fell under fire and were injured. The wound of the brother of Vasyuta, Nicholas was heavy, and he was sent to the hospital. The guards of the junior sergeant S. Vasyut continued to fight already the commander of the intelligence tank of T Vasyut, he brought the tank to the location of the enemy infantry company, which was defended on the outskirts of the village.

At the highest speed, the car swept through the enemy trenches. With fire from a machine gun and caterpillars, scouts destroyed more than a dozen Nazis. The Nazis opened artillery shooting on the tank. This was necessary for scouts. Vasyuta determined the coordinates of the revived firing points and on the radio handed them to his commander. But the Nazis shot. Around the car, shells began to break.

A dangerous situation was created, and it was still necessary to explore the enemy’s forces in the depths of his defense. Vasyuta decided to go around the flank German battery. The maneuver was a success. On the bottom of the ravine, the tank slipped into the enemy rear, crushed the gun with the servant and continued his daring raid. But then the unexpected happened: the car fell into a deep promo and stalled.

The Nazis took advantage of this: two direct hits of shells - and the tank flashed. The surviving commander of the Vasyut tank and the driver Belonozhko managed to get out of the burning car. The Nazis rushed to them to the last cartridge two Komsomol members. They fought with the enemy, while their hearts beat when the village was liberated, our soldiers found the torn bodies of Soviet tankers.
