Biography Peter Kravchenko

This famous and wonderful person played and continues to play an important role in the history of my country. Pyotr Kravchenko graduated from the Faculty of History of BSU, defended his thesis on the history of international relations. Later he switched to party work. During perestroika - secretary of the Minsk city committee of the Communist Party according to ideology.

In M, he won the Supreme Council of GO convocation. In m, having won the next parliamentary elections, he headed the Commission on International Affairs in the Supreme Council of the State Council. In the city, after which he worked in Russia for up to a year and at the same time taught at the Belarusian Institute of Law as a professor of international public law.

Peter Kuzmich is a bright representative of modern history, who has gone all the way to establish and strengthen Belarus as a state, therefore, as a student of the faculty of international relations, it was very interesting to visit a creative evening dedicated not only by the Letti of Peter Kravchenko, but also by the Lettics of Mikhail Cleofas Oginsky. Peter Kuzmich did a lot to perpetuate the memory of this great composer and diplomat.

Pyotr Kuzmich did not accidentally decide to hold an event in the National Library, because it is she who is the most recognizable cultural platform of our country. The guests of the event were people of different ages and professions. Peter Kuzmich talked about a lot: from his roots to the events of our time. I would especially like to note the narrator’s ability to create an atmosphere of that historical period.

He shared his first -person details so that we really plunged into the political atmosphere of events that have gone to history. Most of all I remember the story of the meeting of the leaders of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine in Belovezhskaya Pushcha in December. This event, in my opinion, became decisive in the life of every Belarusian. Peter Kuzmich spoke about the spelling of the preamble of signed historical documents.

When the participants in the meeting were given on a piece of paper to write options for the beginning of the upcoming agreement, it was Kravchenko’s idea that everyone liked it and became a reflection of the first page of the agreement. Throughout the evening, which was accompanied by musical and prosaic performances of famous Belarusian cultural figures and art, I admired this cheerful person who shares its positive energy with all those present.

Literally in these few hours he fell in love with me in my country again. Listening to his speech in his native language, I wanted to follow his example.

It was also delighted that he performed in the embroidered shirt that his mother gave him. It was very noticeable how sincerely Peter Kuzmich loves Belarus. It is so incredible that he decided to invite students to meet, gave us a chance to “feel” his story and the history of Belarus. After the meeting, I had a great desire to strive to live and work for my country as Pyotr Kuzmich Kravchenko did and does.
