Lyubov Voronkova is a Soviet children's writer, journalist, translator, author of historical prose. She was awarded two orders of the Red Banner of Labor. For several years in a row, a young artist enthusiastically studied the drawing and composition. But then the First World War began, and with it hunger. The family went to live with her father’s family, under the eagle.

Times were complex. Love spent several years in a boarding school, seeing her relatives only on weekends. After the war, Voronkov, who had five children, had to return to Moscow. But the old house was gone. In difficult times, he was dismantled for firewood. When Lyuba was 11 years old, they moved to the village of Koskovo in the suburbs, to a small house, where everyone found a place.

The eldest of the children in the family, love tried not to quit their studies, but helping her parents also took a lot of time. Water was worn by buckets on the rocker, and the main source of food was its own garden, which also demanded working hands. Despite this, in the short minutes of rest, Lyuba enthusiastically read everything that came to hand - the volume of Shakespeare, the “gadfly” of the war, translated novels about the Spanish Grandes.

Then Voronkova began to write. First timidly, poems, elegy, then enthusiastic. With dreams of distant countries and unprecedented events. She passionately wanted to move to the city again. But to implement these plans was not easy. An adult life in her work in such a desired city, the girl received as a nanny and a housekeeper. She served with the general with a heavy disposition, suffered her bad character, and continued to write.

Creative searches led the girl to the literary circle. Here she was for the first time among like -minded people. I also got new acquaintances. With their help, love was able to get a job in the journal Pioneer, in the letter department. The diligence of the new employee was noted. Soon she became the secretary of the editorial office. And then published her first essay in the journal.

However, before that, the poetic test of the pen took place. Voronkova’s poem about the housekeeper Barbara was published in Komsomolskaya Pravda. This success inspired Voronkov. And soon her children's book for the kids “Black Currant” went into the press. But the novice writer created these works by order. And for the soul she continued to compose adventure novels, carefully studying history textbooks in search of facts.

With one of these works, about a merchant from France, she came to the publishing house. But the editor, Konstantin Piskunov, advised her to try herself in village essays and stories that the girl knew so well. The writer Lyubov Voronkova soon in the work of Vorontsova appeared stories about children who grew up in the village. About their life, anxiety and dreams.

And in this genre, the writer finally found herself. The first book of stories was published in the year. And even earlier, in, the play “Mittle” was created and staged in the puppet theater. Fascinated by that historical period, Voronkova made trips in Central Asia, visited the ruins of ancient temples in Samarkand. I collected materials for new books - about Ulugbek and Hamze. In collaboration with director Alexandra Snezhko-Blotskaya, Voronkov created more than one children's cartoon on a historical theme, including the arrangement of the famous myth of the Argonauts.
