Yuri, who was afraid of darkness in childhood and necessarily turned on the light in all rooms, if he was left alone, adored horror films, books about mysticism.

And he constantly used the topic in his songs. Otherwise, the compositions “I fell in love with the ghoul”, “Night before Christmas”, “Fog”, “Vampire Bite” are filled. But at the same time they are all full of philosophical and everyday meaning - therefore, they became so popular. In one of the interviews, Hoy admitted: ... we try to convey the desire to live, show how to live and how not necessary to the audience.

Without embellishment, even about those aspects of life that it is considered decent to remain silent. In the mid-nineties, Yuri replaced the stage image of Punk Huligan to a more calm style: he began to go on stage in shirts, trousers and sweaters.

In the repertoire there were new compositions written by Yuri, for example, “Lyrics” and “Your Call”, “Time Home” and “Near your House”. During the creative activity, Hoy, together with the group, toured not only in Russia, but also in the countries of the near and far abroad, and also recorded thirteen albums, the last of which was the “rebel from hell”.
